Hi Reader,

I've been pretty transparent about trying to grow my YouTube channel this year. Why, you might ask? Three reasons:

• I'm hedging my bets on website SEO. I still think it's great, but all my eggs were in one (blog) basket, so I'm branching out.
• It's another place where I can market my Squarespace template shop.
• I'm all for a little YouTube ad revenue. I'm not even close yet (I need 4000 watch hours in the last 365 days to apply and I'm only at 2500), but it's a goal. And I have friends who've been successful with this, so I know it's doable.

And honestly? I'm in that shouting-into-the-void stage. If I hadn't been there before with blogging and KNOW that it will eventually pay off, I'd shut down my video camera and go read a book instead. I've recorded almost 50 videos so far this year and that puts me at just over 100 for my channel. And I think I'm starting to see a little traction? Maybe?

So, here's my (not so) evil plan. How can I get people to watch and engage with multiple videos on my channel? I'm creating a series of videos that map onto my freebie Squarespace Prelaunch Checklist. You can see the (in progress) playlist here on YouTube. And I'm asking people to like each video they watch. How will this go? We'll see. I've got 19 videos so far with over 30 left to create. If you want to follow along with this experiment, reply and let me know and I'll keep you posted!
